There’s a derelict space station near the edge of the galaxy. It was empty until
Fishface Pesco from the Gillyx system opened “The Tavern at the End of the Universe”
to serve as a stopover for the assorted nomads wandering in space. Some
of them are strangely familiar to us Earthlings!
They include antiquated spaceship captains, lost hitchhikers, princesses with
wacky haircuts, time-traveling physicians, absent-minded bounty hunters—humans,
androids, furry creatures, amphibious types or any combination. They
come here to rest, relax or maybe close a shady transaction in a private meeting
room.
One night, a rowdy crowd gathers to hear the cantina band. The music stops
suddenly when a body, spattered with what looks like blood, floats past the
viewscreen. Fishface has been killed! He must have been ejected into space from
the closest airlock, and no one had access except the people in this room. One
of YOU is a murderer!

We had fun dressing for this. I think we figured out that the guilty and innocent statements weren’t super different, so we suspect the person who is voted guilty was simply the best actor. Is that true? It might be a good thing to let folks know somehow.

Super fun. Everyone had a great time. I woulda liked it better as the host to have it all in a box rather than having to print it off but overall was easy to follow once I got it all organized.
My son wanted a murder mystery party for his 11th birthday. I found this kit and it was perfect!! We printed out everyone’s guides and gave everyone a notepad and pen to take notes. We made a slideshow with all of the graphics for it to be easier to show the kids. My husband even wrote an intro to start the game. He played Fishface’s best bartender friend and added in lots of sci-fi jokes. It was a great time had by all! Such a fun and unique idea for a birthday party.

Got the game for my 12 year old son to have a party with his friends. They all loved it and want to do another one. I bought the midevil G O T like one for them to do next.
I used this for an in-person activity at my husband's 50th birthday. We had a total of 10 people, I was the 11th and the narrator/guide. I sprung it on everyone earlier in the day so everything was very casual, last-minute, and on-the-fly. That being said, everyone had a good time and really got into it! A few people pulled together some bits and pieces to make costumes. A few really got into their characters and gave them accents or speech patterns. We ended up with 3 people guessing correctly in the end.
If I were to do it again, I would prepare a little more and make it more immersive. The bones were there, thanks to the information I received from you.

I have done a few murder mystery parties before in the past but this was my first one from Masters of Mystery.
I really love the set up they use as this kit can be used again and again. Majority of the kits I have gotten in the past have a set "killer" so once played with one group you cannot play it again.
The story line for this kit was so fun! Obviously a huge part of a successful murder mystery party is the ability to be able to get into character. The packets that are provided give enough detail to get the ball rolling for your backstory while also allowing enough wiggle room to dive deeper into each character a guest plays as.
I just want to say that we had such a blast playing this game, it was so much fun!! At first I was overwhelmed with all the paperwork that I thought I needed to put on a murder mystery party, but the fabulous thing about masters of mystery is they have everything all set up for u!! Meaning they have all the scripts for each person and that right there makes it perfect when playing with younger ones. I enjoyed it and had so much fun!!
