What is the best Christmas Crime murder mystery game?
Can I play this Christmas Crime murder mystery game with 10 people?
Is this Christmas Crime murder mystery game available for virtual play or in-person events?

This is a physical boxed kit designed for hosting in person, making it perfect for an in-person Christmas dinner party set in Santa's Workshop. With printed booklets, an evidence book and physical components, it is built to be enjoyed around the table with your guests.

If you would prefer to play virtually, a digital and printable version of A Christmas Crime is also available, which can be shared with players joining online. For the boxed experience, though, gathering everyone together in person is the way it is meant to be played.

How long does it take to play this Christmas Crime murder mystery game?

A Christmas Crime typically takes between 1.5 and 3.5 hours to play, depending on your group size and how much time you spend enjoying the festive atmosphere, dinner and detective work.

Smaller groups tend to move through the mystery more quickly, while larger casts and a full dinner-party format naturally extend the evening. You can pace it to suit your night, whether that is a swift session or a relaxed, drawn-out Christmas celebration at Santa's Workshop.

What is included in the Christmas Crime murder mystery game kit?

A Christmas Crime is a physical boxed murder mystery kit that is posted out to you, ready to host your own Santa's Workshop whodunnit. Everything you need to run the evening arrives in the box, so there is nothing to print or piece together yourself.

Inside you will find a Host Guide Booklet, individual Character Booklets for each guest, an Evidence book, and Invitation Booklets to send out ahead of the night. Costume suggestions are built into the in-character guide booklets to help everyone dress for the North Pole.

The kit also includes atmospheric Detective Audio Files and Detective Video Files, which guide the investigation and reveal the culprit, allowing even the host to play along without knowing who committed the crime.

Can I play this Christmas Crime murder mystery game more than once?

Yes. A Christmas Crime is fully replayable. The murderer is selected at random each time you play, so the outcome changes from one game night to the next.

This means you can host the same Santa's Workshop mystery again with a different group, or replay it with the same friends, and still enjoy a fresh investigation with a new culprit to uncover. It makes the boxed kit great value for repeated festive game nights.

What events or occasions is this Christmas Crime murder mystery game suitable for?

A Christmas Crime is ideal for the festive season, making it a perfect centrepiece for Christmas dinner parties, family get-togethers and holiday game nights.

With its Santa's Workshop setting and Christmas Crime theme, it works beautifully for office Christmas parties, festive fancy-dress evenings and gatherings of friends who want something more interactive than the usual celebration. Whenever you want to bring seasonal mystery and entertainment to the table, this kit fits the occasion.

What is the recommended age group for this Christmas Crime murder mystery game?

A Christmas Crime is recommended for players aged 14 and over, making it well suited to teenagers, adults and mixed-age festive gatherings.

With a medium difficulty level, it offers an engaging challenge that keeps older teens and adults invested in the investigation, while still being approachable enough to enjoy as a relaxed Christmas dinner-party game.

Do players need to dress up in costumes for this Christmas Crime murder mystery?

Dressing up is completely optional, but it is warmly encouraged as it adds so much to the festive fun of a Santa's Workshop murder mystery.

With a Christmas Crime theme, guests can lean into Christmas attire and come as elves, reindeers or even Santa himself. Costume suggestions are included within the in-character guide booklets to help everyone bring their role to life, whether they go all out or simply add a festive touch.

Can I add more players or characters to this Christmas Crime murder mystery game?

A Christmas Crime is designed to be played with 4 to 20 players, giving you plenty of flexibility for anything from an intimate dinner party to a large festive gathering at Santa's Workshop.

The characters are a mix of gender-neutral, male and female roles, so parts can be adapted to suit whoever is coming. If you would like to expand your cast beyond the standard set, expansion packs can be used to add more players and characters to the game.
