Attribuez les rôles : l’application envoie à chacun une invitation cinématographique avec son personnage, ses conseils de costume et une demande de confirmation.
Avant la soirée, chaque invité entre dans les coulisses : portrait, histoire, costume et répliques visibles uniquement sur son téléphone.
En un geste, l’un des invités devient le meurtrier. Seul son téléphone le sait. Il découvre ses répliques coupables tandis que les autres jouent sans tricher. Personne ne peut gâcher la surprise, pas même l’hôte.

This was my first time hosting a mystery party (we did the mystery pencil one for kids) for my daughter’s 11th birthday. I was super nervous as I had no idea how this would go, or how it would be received by the kids. It’s definitely a good idea to try and play it out with others before you start to have an idea of how it works. This definitely takes up most of the party time. The kids got the hang of it, and absolutely loved it. Parents told me that the kids wouldn’t stop talking about it on the car rides home. My daughter was so happy, and I was thrilled that all the kids dressed up! We definitely want to do this again for Halloween!
We had an amazing time ! Very user friendly! Our group ranged from ages 5-70! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to do another one!

All the kids loved it ! It was for my twin daughter’s 12 year old birthday party. It was fun to see the costumes and also to hear the responses. We also played it with the family again and planning on doing it in the summer
Our daughter wanted a murder mystery for her 40th. She chose the Mystery of the magic pencil so that the children were able to participated. Everyone dressed in character and played the part well. In between round we would have entree, mains and dessert. Lots of laughs and memories made.
This went down very well for a 12th birthday party with 16 girls. It does take quite a bit of prior planning and printing out etc so it’s good to have at least one extra adult to help before and during but it’s was an overall huge success! Thank you!
I was nervous and not sure I would be able to pull this game off as there are a lot of moving parts. But the kids ages 8 and 9 actually came dressed in full character and sat through the whole game! It was a lot of fun.
We hosted a 12th birthday party with guests from 11-13 years of age. We set the house up as an unbirthday tea party with Alice and wonderland décor. We played a Spotify Disney radio station as background music. The kids dressed up as their assigned character and easily understood and went through the script and activities. They were excited to find the culprit and win prizes for best costume, best acting, and first to identify the thief. We had 6 total kids playing and they finished in about an hour.
The mystery game was great! We used it for my daughter's 12th birthday, and she and her friends loved it! It was fun, easy to follow, and such a good way to bri g together 8 girls!

I bought The Mystery of the Magic Pencil for my daughter’s 9th birthday party. It was a blast and kept the attention of all 10 girls! The girls really enjoyed the questioning and accusations part, and many fun giggles were shared. I would highly recommend this game and big kudos to the customer service team. I needed another “girl” role and they helped me out with no hassle or fee.
We had a group of thirteen preteen girls. They had so much fun and two of them even guessed the thief!

Great idea but the packs to print out were way too long and the whole game was too lengthy for 8 year olds. Everyone enjoyed their characters but we had to skip most of the rounds and not read the ‘speeches’.
Our party guests had a wonderful time acting it out. I didn’t love having to print everything and having to be ready with the digital files along with hosting. I would recommend you create a version in a box that’s ready to go that people can just purchase and use. Would recommend to others!

We used the kids mystery game for a larger group and the character sheets were clear. The 4-8 players version suited us well. It gave everyone a reason to mingle. The characters gave everyone a clear starting point.
The kids really enjoyed this game. Their only complaint was it was too short. I purchased it for my girls (and their friends) aged 9-12 to play whole the adults played a murder mystery. They enjoyed choosing a character and finding their variation of a costume and how to play the character. The scripts were good and I like that you could play it multiple times with the same or different groups.
I bought this to play with my nieces and they had a GREAT time! I didn't want anyone to stress or spend money on costumes so I just gave them 10 minutes before the game started to invent a costume to match their character and they got so into it. They used accents and everything. My one niece really got into character and embellished a bit which did make it a little hard to follow/figure out who did it but they had so much fun and wanted to play it again as soon as it was over!
We used the Mystery of the Magic Pencil for my 11-year-old daughter's birthday party, and it was a huge hit! The 15 guests, (plus birthday girl) ranged in age from 10-12. Only 3 guests - including the two boys - chose not to dress as their character. Set up was easy and fun: I printed the scripts two to a page and created little booklets to make things easier. We started following the directions in the one-question-at-a-time format, but it quickly became tedious, so, for the remaining rounds, I gave instructions and the kids mingled and just asked each other the questions. It was great! I did ask three older siblings to be my "castle guards," and to act as assistants for the guests, some of whom struggled a bit with reading or following directions. This is really a 5-star activity, except for the perhaps overly rigid interrogation structure. I say: trust the kids to handle it by talking and enjoying their time together, especially for an in-person party. HIGHLY recommend!!
My daughter and her friends really enjoyed the game. There was a lot of paper to print out which was confusing and sometimes harder to follow or keep track of but once we got into the swing of things it was lots of fun!!

The students loved dressing up for their parts and assuming the nuances of their assigned character. It's a wonderful activity for Language Arts classes since these sorts of activities are not incorporated into the regular curriculum.
The game was so much fun! We played it for my 11-yr old’s birthday party and everyone had a great time. My only criticism is that one of the responses for Rapunzel was the same as the Queen of Hearts and it almost messed up the game. I had to make something up because the Queen’s response didn’t make sense for Rapunzel. Other than that, it went really well! Would buy from this company again.

I bought this game for my 13 year old’s birthday party. There were 6 girls who played and they all enjoyed it. I would personally say that it would have been better with more players because it would have lasted a bit longer. We structured it around a meal, which worked quite well. It took about an hour and a half to 2 hours. The materials are easy to print and there’s a sound file to play at the start of each round . As the group was quite young I printed each round separately to prevent people reading ahead and revealing clues too early by mistake.
The kids mystery game had a fun idea behind it. The idea worked well, but it suited our confident players more than the quiet ones. It was a memorable way to bring everyone together.
