Your Online Escape Room — How To Play

As soon as your purchase is complete you'll receive an email with your access link or download details — this usually arrives within a few minutes and is sent separately from your order confirmation. Click the link to open your escape room in your browser, or follow the download instructions if your game includes downloadable files.

If the email hasn't arrived, please check your spam or junk folder and make sure the email address you entered at checkout is correct. Your link does not expire, so you can return to it whenever you're ready to play.

All you need is a device with an internet connection — a laptop, desktop, tablet or phone — and an up-to-date web browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. There's no app to install.

A pen and some paper are handy for jotting down clues and working through puzzles, but they're entirely optional. You can play on your own or gather a group around a single screen.

Once you've opened your escape room, simply work through the puzzles in order. Each section presents you with clues, documents and challenges to solve. When you work out an answer, type it into the answer box to unlock the next part of the story.

Correct answers move you forward; if an answer isn't accepted, take another look at the clues and try again. Keep solving puzzles until you reach the end and escape.

Yes. There's no countdown that runs out, so you can play entirely at your own pace and take breaks whenever you like. The on-screen timer keeps track of your time but will never end your game.

To pick up where you left off, return to your original access link on the same device and browser and continue from your last solved puzzle.

If a puzzle has you stumped, look for the hint button within the game. Hints are revealed gradually, so you can take a gentle nudge in the right direction first and only see the full solution if you really need it.

Using a hint never penalises you, so feel free to use them whenever you'd like to keep the story moving. If you run into a technical problem, our support team is always happy to help.
