Head To The Start & Solve Clues
Take your pack to the city, follow the route between atmospheric landmarks and uncover clues and question suspects at each stop. Go at your own pace and pause whenever you like.
Step Four
Reveal The Culprit
Piece the evidence together, make your final accusation and unmask the culprit at the end of the trail. Did you crack the case?

How long does a trail take?
Most trails take between two and three hours to complete, depending on your pace, group size and how long you spend at each stop. As the trail is self-guided, there's no time limit — you can take as long as you like.
How far is the walk?
Each route is a comfortable city-centre walk, typically around two to three miles in total. The distance is broken up across several stops, so you're never walking far between clues.
Can we pause partway?
Absolutely. The trail is entirely self-paced, so you can stop for a coffee, lunch or a break whenever you like and pick up exactly where you left off.
Is there an app or anything to download?
No app and nothing to download. Your trail is a posted pack — a personalised envelope and puzzle booklet that arrive by post — so all you need is your pack and a sense of curiosity. Just pick up and play.
What if it rains?
Your pack doesn't expire, so if the weather turns you can simply head home and pick it up another day. Many stops also sit near cafes, pubs and covered spots where you can shelter and keep solving.
