Midnight on the Orient Express

One night in 1926, the Orient Express—the ultimate in luxurious train travel—is speeding East toward Istanbul. Passengers include the famous, the wealthy, and the glamorous elite of high society—or at least, people who claim to be members of the elite. Aboard a train, who can tell if anyone is really who they claim to be?
Also aboard is the best-selling mystery novelist Agrippa Twistie. She seems inspired by the trip, as her typewriter can be heard late into the night, busily tapping out her latest story. "And you're all in it!" she declared at dinner earlier. “My readers love it when I include unsavory details about the rich and famous—as some of you already know, and some of you will soon find out!”
In the morning, she is found dead in her compartment. She was stabbed in the heart, right through a page of her half-completed manuscript. The other pages are missing.
Someone in this train car killed her! Was someone trying to silence her? Was someone seeking revenge? Or was there some other reason? You are there too—maybe YOU did it!

Customer photo review of Midnight on the Orient Express - An Agatha Christie themed murder mystery

We recently hosted the Agatha Christie 1920s-themed Murder on the Orient Express murder mystery package, and it was an absolute hit. Everyone fully committed to the theme with incredible costumes, which immediately made the night feel immersive and entertaining from the moment guests arrived. The structure of the game was excellent. The scripts gave people enough guidance to stay engaged and confident, but there was also plenty of room to ad lib and bring the characters to life in their own way. That balance made it accessible even for people who were initially nervous about roleplaying. The storyline itself was fun and easy to follow, and the variety of characters kept the energy high throughout the evening. Every guest had something to do, and people really got invested in the mystery. Overall, it was one of the most enjoyable group events we’ve hosted. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable, interactive party experience with lots of laughter and creativity.

Great fun evening with lots of laughter. Loved the audio files and evidence sheets. Our guests put lots of effort into their costumes. The characters and plots were very funny. I had to put quite a lot of time into managing the evening so that the rounds slotted in between the meal courses and everyone had what they needed. Thoroughly recommend this murder mystery game.

I bought this for my daughter's 11th birthday party and it was a blast!! It isn't really set fully for that age group, so I had to tweek it...but I knew that going into it. I had to adjust things to be more age appropriate...but only in a few places. We also played it where I randomly chose the killer before hand and I was the only one who knew. I created individual booklets where the killer's book was already set up with the guilty responses. (I was worried the killer would accidentally give themselves away! Haa!). The kids had a blast and all dressed their part. We decorated it and set it up like a train dining car. Highly recommend!!!

Customer photo review of Midnight on the Orient Express - An Agatha Christie themed murder mystery - 4 - 20 Players / English

Our group of students really enjoyed their murder mystery dinner party! It was creative and engaging. The only complaint was that they felt like the evidence/conversation left everyone feeling like there was no good way to genuinely deduce who the murderer was. Perhaps that's just the nature of a game that has the capability of changing "who done it"? Either way, they still had a fantastic night!

I played this game with 6 of my girlfriends and we had an absolute blast we picked characters that were fun to dress up but used the script for the smaller game. I found it a bit confusing to begin with but if you spend some time reading the instructions it all becomes clear… I would definitely recommend this game. I printed everyone’s scripts so they had something to read to ban the mobile phone except for playing the inspectors script highly recommend

Very fun murder mystery that was well organised and easy to follow. It was very difficult to guess the murderer and the clues didn't seem very helpful so in terms of the game element it wasn't great. There seemed to be only minute differences between the innocent and guilty scripts and so it was effectively guesswork trying to discover the murderer. However it was so fun to dress up and get in to the characters and it was really well organised which made it such a brilliant evening. The scripts and detective audio clips were funny and easy to follow. A big success but the actual game element wasn't the best.

We chose this party game for my sister’s 13th birthday party! We chose to have everyone wear 1920’s pajamas according to their character. We decided this because of the real movie and thought it would be more fun doing it this way! Everyone had lots of fun playing this game! My sister invited two of her friends and it was a blast! Highly recommend Murder on the Orient Express!

We had a wonderful time on the Mystery Train. Everyone was in character unit the end. No one gust who done it but we had more fun laughing at each other for our skills of deduction. We are all ready planning our next Murder Mystery, and it will be bigger and better.

Customer photo review of Midnight on the Orient Express - An Agatha Christie themed murder mystery

Yet again another amazing experience with a murder mystery party from Masters of Mystery! We did it as an extended family dinner party and had 19 people participate! It was nice having the detective pre-recorded so we could use that instead of having an actual detective but it's great to have the option of an extra player if needed! What I enjoy the most about hosting a Master of Mystery version is that EVERYONE has the potential to be the murderer and if someone can't make it last minute you don't have to scramble to find coverage for that person- you just pull their animal (we choose animals, not letters cause that gives us another laugh at the end on who got what animal!). Also it's entertaining hearing everyone's crazy accusations and hypothesis on WHY they choose who they choose for the murderer! The 4 rounds makes it easy to fit both a dinner and a dessert time in which we also appreciate! Our family will remember this experience for years- thank you!!

We’ve played a lot of murder mysteries, but never one like this.we were on holiday and decided to do this with the kids. The audio files and evidence are great (we’ve only played old school murder mysteries) and the game itself was just the right time for the kids. We’re going to buy another for Christmas. I love that this can be reused over with a different murderer.

What a great evening! When I started planning it all sounded very complicated and I was worried, but once we started playing it came together and made sense. We were left guessing who the murderer was until right at the end. We played with 5 players and it worked, but I think it would have been better with the full 8.

Midnight on the Orient Express - An Agatha Christie themed murder mystery

Me and my friends had a great evening with this game. The only thing I couldn't find was the inspectors closing statement? On the host instructions it directed me to play or read this but I didn't have a recording of it and it wasn't in the inspectors script. It didn't affect the game and we still continued and voted but if just threw me for a second.

Midnight on the Orient Express - An Agatha Christie themed murder mystery

We found the audio good and the clues good and the booklets for each character good but the outcome was a little insipid. The guilty person just said "I'm guilty"--quite anti-cllmactic as no reasons were given which made no sense of the sleuthing process. Others that I've tried have had a definite guilty character with an end result that followed the clues and this was more satisfying
