The moment you buy, you're given secure access to your case portal — sign in and reopen the dossier to examine, download or print every file. Choose a physical edition and a beautifully made boxed kit is also posted to your door.

How many people can play?

Play solo, or team up with a partner. Cold cases are a one or two-player investigation — ideal for date night or a quiet night in.

How long does it take?

Most solvers spend somewhere between one and two hours working through the Where Is Santa cold case, though there is no clock ticking. You can move at your own pace, following the trail across the North Sea and the UK as you piece together what happened to Santa.

We purchased the digital version, simply because the physical one was sold out! I decided to print off all the pages of evidence so everything could be passed around. We played with my kids (16, 14, 10) and my parents on Christmas Eve. Not so difficult that my youngest felt out of the loop, but not so easy that the older crowd solved it too fast.

This was a fun mystery we worked on with family and friends from out of town on Christmas Eve. So the theme fit well. It was a good time by all, and much better than sitting around watching tv. We were all engaged and working on clues and contributing. From age 25-70, we were all invested and enjoyed the evening solving the "who done it".

This was great fun! We played as a family of 4 & everyone got involved . We had the physical game pack. It was well worth the money as every item was very high quality, much better than it would have been if we'd printed them out. As you don't need to write on any of the materials you can play the game more than once. Will definitely be looking at getting some more of these.

The kit was lovely - excellent quality. However for us we really needed a bit more guidance on what we were actually looking for. Also there was a whole lot of reading which made it more of an individual endeavour - perhaps come up with slightly shorter clues and allocate them to people so they can read their bit and contribute? Perhaps that is what you are meant to do but it wasn’t obvious to us. Good luck!
