Romantic Cocktails for your Valentines Day Murder Mystery

Indulging in some delightful Valentine's Day cocktails to make the evening extra magical and create some concoctions to serve at your party with a touch of both passion and flavour.  From the tempting Love Potions to Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini’s, below we've gathered a list of romantic recipes that will boost your Valentine's Day murder mystery experience.

 

Love Potion #9 is a fruity, boozy concoction of fruits, you’ll find a variety of options online but we prefer the one that uses the following:-

  • 1 1/2 oz raspberry vodka
  • 1/2 oz peach schnapps
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • Splash of club soda

Simply mix the raspberry vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry and apple juice in a cocktail shaker with ice and then add  fresh raspberries as a garnish.

 

Valentine's Martini is a straightforward martini but with a valentines day twist.  It’s made with:-

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz raspberry liqueur
  • 1/2 oz elderflower liqueur
  • Splash of fresh lemon juice

Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice and then add the vodka and the liqueur’s and shake well. Pout into a glass and add edible flowers or lemon twist as a garnish.

 

Cupid's Cosmo adds a valentines day twist to a regular Cosmo, using Vodka and Cranberry juice:-

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz lime juice

put ice to a cocktail shaker and add the vodka, cranberry juice and lime juice. Shake well and pour into a chilled martini glass then add a lime twist or heart-shaped ice cubes for a garnish.

 

Chocolate Strawberry Martini You read that right, why not make a drink of the classic dessert. Made with:-

  • 2 oz strawberry vodka
  • 1 oz chocolate liqueur
  • 1/2 oz cream

Add the vodka and liqueur together in a cocktail shaker and shake well, pour into a martini glass and then if you want you can add chocolate covered strawberry on the rim of the glass for garnish. Simply coat the strawberry in chocolate and slice in half.

 

Berry Fizz uses fruits and gin to make a tasty and refreshingly fruity cocktail. Made with:-

  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 1 oz mixed berry puree (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Splash of sparkling water

In a glass tumbler drop in a couple of ice cubes add the gin and berry puree and finish off with some sparkling water and mix together. You can add some mixed berries to garnish.

 

Raspberry Rose is an elegant cocktail for your more sophisticated guests. This can be made with:-

  • 2 oz rose-infused gin
  • 1/2 oz raspberry syrup
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • Sparkling wine

Add all of these into a cocktail shaker with and shake well, before pouring into a glass. You can also add fresh raspberries and a rose petal for a garnish.

 

Passionate Kiss Cocktail is a peachy, raspberry concoction bound to live a fruity tingle in your mouth. To make this you will need:-

  • 1 oz of peach schnapps
  • 1 oz of peach liqueur (southern comfort is a popular choice)
  • 1 oz of Raspberry Liqueur
  • Pineapple Juice

In a glass add some ice and then pour the liquors over it. Top it off with pineapple juice and stir well.

 

Passion Fruit Martini is another martini variation that works well for your Valentines Day celebrations. Made from:-

  • 2 oz passion fruit vodka
  • 1 oz vanilla liqueur
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice

Add ice to a cocktail shaker and then add all the ingredients and shake well. Pour into a glass and then add some passion fruit seeds or twist of lime to garnish.

 

Strawberry Basil Smash: is a tasty and beautiful drink with a lovely flavour kick. It’s made with:-

  • 2 oz strawberry vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Resh strawberries

Add basil and strawberry and mix together before adding the vodka and syrup and stir well. Scoop out the fruit and drop that in the bottom of a glass before adding some ice and then pour over the rest of the mixture and garnish with sliced strawberries and basil.

Love Potion can be made with:-

  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • lemonade
  • Ice cubes

Using either fresh berries that you’ve tossed into a blender or simply using fruity syrups you can add these into a cocktail shaker with ice and lemonade and give it a good shake before pouting into a glass and adding fresh berries for garnish.

 

Raspberry Rose Fizz can be made without alcohol and simply using:-

  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup rose-flavoured sparkling water
  • 1 tablespoon raspberry syrup

Mix the sparkling water and the raspberry syrup together and pour into a glass with some ice. Add in the fresh raspberries or mint leaves as a garnish.

 

In fact, any of the above mentioned drinks can be made without the need for alcohol by simply substituting the gin and vodka with sparling water or using nom-alcoholic wines. Everyone should have a great time at your party. Happy romancing.
